8. Buy-back Scheme |
|
|
We know that sometimes
people buy an instrument to learn to play and then they
find they lose interest; this can happen
particularly with children. MUSICPRIDE are unique in
offering a buy-back scheme for second-hand instruments.
We have complete confidence in the second-hand
instruments that we sell and therefore we are willing
to buy them back from you, within six months of the
original purchase date.
|
|
|
“Graduate” instrument buyback prices will be
agreed by negotiation. This is because the cost of
servicing these instruments is considerably higher
than for standard instruments. Graduate Instruments
include Buffet E13 and R13, Yamaha YCL-650, Leblanc
Esprit and similar instruments. This list is not exclusive and the
categorisation will be decided solely by Musicpride.
|
|
|
Our minimum buy-back price is
50%. Normally, the original price you paid for the instrument
(not including the handling charge) determines the
buy-back percentage. Please refer to the table below:

to the following terms and conditions:
|
|
- MUSICPRIDE will buy the instrument back from
you for a percentage of the original price paid (see table above).
- The buy-back percentage is based on the original cost
of the instrument and excludes the original
handling charge.
- The cost
of any missing items such as mouthpieces,
ligatures, and mouthpiece caps, (but excluding
reeds) will be deducted from the buy-back
percentage.
- If the
instrument has suffered damage beyond normal wear
and tear then repair costs and/or depreciation as
assessed by MUSICPRIDE will be deducted from the
buy-back percentage.
- MUSICPRIDE
will contact the customer who is returning the
instrument under the buy-back scheme (within 5
working days) to confirm the amount of the buy-back
payment to be made to the customer.
- All buy-back payments will be made by cheque which will
be sent by post (within five working days) after
the buy-back percentage has been agreed with the
customer.
- Please
refer to the Returning Goods section in our
general terms and conditions above before

the six-month period the instrument is the
customer's property.

9. Bargain instruments |
|
|

organisation, Allintune. These will be on a separate
page in the catalogues. Instruments advertised as
“Bargain Instruments” are warranted to be in good
playable condition and will be suitable for a
beginner. Some may be new instruments and these are
guaranteed to have been properly set up. The do not
benefit from the terms of sections 5 & 8 above.
They may however be returned in accordance with
Sections 6 & 7.
